How do I create an account?

1. Click ‘Join WallaRhubarb’ in the top right-hand corner of the website. You can also choose to sign up with Google, Facebook or your email.
2. Complete registering your profile by uploading a profile picture and adding your profile bio. At this stage, you’re free to browse the website and list your own items freely for rental or sale.

How do I list an item for rent or sale?

1. Give your item a name – When choosing a name, try to choose the correct item category that will match what potential borrowers or buyers might search for.
2. Upload a picture – The better your picture, the more rentals you’ll get, so adding more images, the better.
3. Select a relevant category – Choose a relevant category for your listing.
4. Describe your item – Describe the specifications, compatibility and condition of your item accurately.
5. Choose to rent or sell your item – You will have the option to list your item for rent or sale.
6. Set a buy or rental price for your item – What you charge is up to you. Finally, click the ‘Submit’ button, and your listing will go live instantly.

How do I set the price for items?

Setting renting price
1. Check what price similar items are, and set your price towards the lower end of that scale (renters often come to WallaRhubarb looking for below-market rates)
2. When setting prices you can set a daily price for your rental item. The Smart Pricing algorithm will then suggest a weekly and monthly price, however, you can change this to what you like.

Setting sale price
1. When setting a price for the item you have listed for sale, you will have the option to reduce or increase the price of your item for sale.

What is a Paused Account?

1. Your account can go into paused status if you have Holiday Mode turned on.
2. If your account is paused, this means that your listings have been temporarily removed from the search function on WallaRhubarb.
3. If your account has been paused but you would like to reactivate it, please contact us at info@wallarhubarb.com and a member of our support team can assist you.

What is the Watchlist, and how do I use it?

Watchlist allows you to keep track of certain owners and items, making it faster and easier to book rentals.

How do I change my email address or phone number?

Once logged in you can update your email or address in your dashboard area. If you signed up with Google or Facebook and would like to change your account to an email-based account, please contact us at info@wallarhubarb.com

How do I change my profile picture?

1. Head to ‘My account’ on your Dashboard, then click the ‘Edit Photo’ button to change your profile picture.
2. Drag and drop or click to upload a profile picture of your choice (we accept .jpg or .png files under 2MB in size)

How can I optimise my rental listing?

1. Take great photos of your items – The more photos you add the better.
2. Set your prices low – What you charge is up to you, but lower prices often mean a higher overall rental income – they encourage longer and more frequent rentals. To begin with, look at how similar items are priced and start towards the lower end of the scale.
3. Describe your items accurately – Describe the specifications, compatibility and condition of your item as accurately as possible.
4. Show us the real you – Upload a photo and a short bio to your profile to help see who you are.
5. Maintain a fast response time – When a potential renter messages you or requests your item, get back to them as soon as you can, whether you can fulfil the rental or not.
